In this regard, award-winning Concert Real Estate Corporation already had a proven track record as one of Canada’s premier developers. Concert was not only capable of envisioning such a project but also possessed the means, resources and experience to make it a reality.

Owned exclusively by Canadian union and management pension funds since 1989, Concert is first and foremost a community builder. Through its strategic alliances with other Canadian pension plan companies, Concert recognized the need for a new concept in seniors housing, one that addressed the realistic needs of an aging population. As a result, Concert began to redefine and create a new model for seniors living communities across Canada.

Tapestry at The O’Keefe – Arbutus Walk, in Vancouver, was Concert’s first retirement community. It earned the 2003 Grand SAM Award from the Canadian Home Builders’ Association, recognizing outstanding performance in both the building and marketing of a single project. In June 2005 the Urban Development Institute (UDI) also presented Concert with an Award for Excellence for Seniors Housing.

Since its inception in 1989, Concert has created more than 8,000 rental and condominium homes, always upholding its commitment to building quality homes suited to the needs of our customers and the communities in which they live.
